Dentistry (cipher 6B10113) is a 6-year (12-semester), Continuous Integrated Medical Education programme delivered by the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare at al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU). The programme trains competitive dentists able to provide primary and continuing dental care to children, individuals, families and the general population, and to generate new knowledge in the field.

The programme's own published learning outcomes cover: applying knowledge of human structure and function to dental practice; identifying and solving problems affecting oral and general health via pathological-process knowledge; interpreting clinical symptoms and diagnostic data for age-matched dental patients; integrating clinical knowledge for personalised, evidence-based dental treatment; building ethical dentist-patient relationships; working within interprofessional healthcare teams; providing emergency and disaster-response dental/medical care; and applying legal, documentation and lifelong-learning standards in dental practice.

KazNU is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary university (not a dedicated medical university); its Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare also runs Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and Public Health bachelor's programmes alongside Dentistry.
