Diş Hekimliği

This program prepares students for professional practice in oral health care, covering dental anatomy, oral biology, dental materials, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and preventive dental care. Coursework typically begins with foundational sciences such as biology, chemistry, and anatomy before progressing into specialized dental subjects and extensive clinical training. Students learn diagnostic and treatment techniques across areas including endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, building toward the clinical competence required for professional dental practice. This 5 years bachelor's program is delivered in English at Istanbul Kent University, located in İstanbul, Turkey. English-medium instruction supports engagement with international dental research and treatment standards, and prepares graduates for careers or further specialization that may involve work or study in English-speaking settings. İstanbul offers access to hospitals and dental clinics that provide the clinical training environments essential to the program. Supervised clinical practice with patients is a central component of dental education, typically beginning after the foundational science years and continuing through the later stages of the degree. Students progressively take on more clinical responsibility under faculty supervision as they develop diagnostic and treatment skills. Graduates pursue licensure as dentists, working in private practice, hospital dental departments, or public health settings, and may go on to pursue specialized postgraduate training in fields such as orthodontics, oral surgery, or periodontics.
