Diploma in Optometry

The Diploma in Optometry (N83) trains students to assess and treat vision problems, covering optical dispensing, contact lens fitting and the management of ocular diseases. Training uses NP's Optometry Clinic and NP-Zeiss Suite, with a 25-week internship at external partners. The three-year course covers Visual Optics, Ocular Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Optometry and Practice Management, combining classroom study with practical clinical learning. Graduates work as optometrists in community practices, retail optical chains or research institutions, or progress to further study in healthcare-related fields.
