Bachelor in Double licence - Sciences de la terre / Sciences de la vie -

Tuition fees are 178 EUR per year.

A double bachelor's degree combining Sciences de la terre (Earth Sciences) and Sciences de la vie (Life Sciences) trains students across two closely related natural science disciplines, covering both the physical Earth and the living organisms that inhabit it. Earth sciences examine the composition, structure, and history of the planet, including geology, mineralogy, and the processes that shape landscapes and natural resources, while life sciences cover biology at multiple scales, from molecular and cellular biology to ecology and the study of ecosystems. A combined program of this kind typically builds a shared foundation in chemistry, physics, and mathematics before branching into coursework specific to each discipline, along with fieldwork and laboratory sessions that let students apply concepts from both areas, such as the interaction between geological conditions and living ecosystems. Studying the two fields together supports work in areas where they naturally intersect, including environmental science, paleontology, and natural resource management. Graduates of this kind of combined program commonly pursue further study in environmental science, ecology, geology, or related graduate fields, or move into careers in environmental consultancy, natural resource management, conservation, and roles with public agencies or research organizations working on questions that span the geological and biological sciences. This program is offered by the Université Côte d'Azur, in Nice, France. It is a three-year bachelor's degree, taught in French, beginning in September, with yearly tuition of 178 EUR.
