Karabük University

Bachelor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Karabük, Turkey Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Electrical and Electronics Engineering studies the generation, transmission, and use of electrical energy alongside the design of electronic circuits and devices that underpin modern technology. The curriculum spans circuit theory, electromagnetics, power systems, control systems, and signal processing, along with digital and analog electronics and microelectronics. Students learn to analyze and design circuits, work with sensors and actuators, and understand how power is generated, distributed, and managed in both large-scale grids and small embedded devices. Laboratory coursework is a major component, giving students hands-on practice building and testing circuits, programming microcontrollers, and using measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes. As the field has expanded, many programs also cover renewable energy systems, telecommunications, and the fundamentals of computer engineering, since electrical and electronics knowledge underlies much of modern computing and communication infrastructure. Mathematics coursework in calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra supports the technical modeling used throughout the degree. Graduates work in power generation and distribution companies, telecommunications, electronics manufacturing, automation, and renewable energy, in roles ranging from design engineer to systems and maintenance engineer. The degree is also a common entry point into robotics, automotive electronics, and industrial control system careers. This bachelor's program is taught in English over 4 years at Karabük University in Karabük, Turkey. English-medium instruction gives students access to international technical standards and reference material used throughout the electrical and electronics industry. The program builds progressively across its four years, moving from fundamental circuit and physics coursework toward more specialized topics such as power systems or control engineering in later semesters.
