İngilizce Öğretmenliği

Tuition costs 70,000 TRY per year.

English Language Teaching is the field concerned with training future teachers of English as a foreign language, bringing together the study of English linguistics and literature with coursework in educational theory and teaching practice. Students learn how second languages are acquired, how to design lessons and assessments suited to different learners, and how to manage a classroom effectively. A typical program includes courses in English grammar, phonetics and pronunciation, composition, applied linguistics, educational psychology, and teaching methodology, together with supervised practicum placements in schools during the later years of the degree. Graduates commonly work as English teachers in state or private schools, language institutes, and preparatory programs, and some progress into roles in teacher training, curriculum design, or educational management. The strong language and communication skills developed during the program also open opportunities in translation, publishing, and other language-related fields for graduates who choose not to pursue classroom teaching directly. This bachelor's program in English Language Teaching is offered at Anadolu University in Eskişehir, Turkey, and is taught entirely in English over 4 years. Anadolu University is a large public institution, and its English Language Teaching program combines theoretical coursework with hands-on teaching practice to prepare students for the classroom. Delivering instruction in English throughout the four years of study is intended to give future teachers a strong personal command of the language they will go on to teach, alongside the pedagogical training needed to plan lessons and manage a classroom effectively after graduation.
