English Language Teaching prepares students to become qualified teachers of English as a foreign or second language, combining the study of English language and literature with education theory and classroom practice. Coursework typically includes linguistics, English grammar and composition, second language acquisition theory, curriculum design, and teaching methodology, alongside supervised teaching practice in school settings. Students learn how to plan lessons, assess student progress, and adapt teaching methods for learners of different ages and proficiency levels. This bachelor program is offered by Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, a state institution located in Erzincan, Turkey, and is completed over 4 years of full-time study, with instruction in English. Students progress from foundational language and linguistics courses into specialized education coursework, generally completing supervised teaching practicums in local schools during the later years of the program. Graduates of English language teaching programs typically become teachers in primary, secondary, or language schools, where they teach English as a foreign language to students at various levels. Some graduates move into curriculum development, educational publishing, or teacher training roles, while others pursue further study in applied linguistics, education, or educational administration. Because English language instruction is in continuous demand across public and private education systems, as well as in language institutes and international schools, the degree provides a clear and stable career path centered on teaching and education.
