English Language Teaching prepares students to teach English as a foreign language, combining advanced English proficiency with training in language pedagogy, curriculum design, and classroom practice. Coursework typically covers linguistics, second language acquisition theory, teaching methodology, materials development, and assessment, alongside practical training in lesson planning and classroom management, usually including supervised teaching practice in schools. Students develop strong English language skills across speaking, writing, reading, and listening while learning how students acquire a second language and how to design lessons that support that process effectively. Graduates work as English teachers in secondary schools and language institutes, and the training also supports roles in curriculum development, language program coordination, and educational materials design, with further study available in English language teaching, applied linguistics, or education. This bachelor's program in English Language Teaching is offered by Yozgat Bozok University in Yozgat, Turkey, with a duration of 4 years, and instruction is delivered in English. For a program focused on training English teachers, English-medium instruction is central to the degree, giving students continuous practice in the language they will go on to teach while modeling instructional approaches they can apply in their own future classrooms. Based in Yozgat, a city in central Turkey, students train in a setting connected to the broader demand for English teachers across Turkish schools and language institutes. The program suits students who want to combine strong English proficiency with an interest in teaching, preparing them specifically for careers as English language educators.
