Bachelor in Food Science

With a seven-semester duration, the Food Science programme combines technological, economic, and nutritional aspects of the food industry, preparing students for careers in a stable and high-demand field.

This unique programme offers two specialisations: Lebensmitteltechnologie (Bachelor of Engineering) and Lebensmittelwirtschaft (Bachelor of Science). Students gain practical experience in labs from the first semester and participate in a six-month industry internship in the fourth semester, with the possibility of an international placement. The curriculum covers areas such as microbiology, food chemistry, food technology, food marketing, and logistics. Graduates can pursue careers in various sectors, including agriculture, food processing, retail, and regulatory bodies, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, safety, and health in food production.
