Bachelor in Forest and Landscape

For Bachelor in Forest and Landscape, the application deadline for the Aug 2027 intake is Jan 15, 2027; tuition fees are 516,000 SEK for the whole program.

Forest and Landscape is SLU's only international Bachelor's programme (all of SLU's other Bachelor's programmes are Swedish-taught). It takes an integrated forested-landscape approach, combining forestry science and landscape architecture, based at SLU Campus Alnarp, roughly 10km from Malmo and Lund.

The first year builds a foundation in natural and social sciences; the second half of year one and year two cover forest and landscape ecology and management, and the interacting human and natural processes across spatial and temporal scales. The third year lets students focus on management of forests or other landscape types, choosing landscape architecture or forestry science as their main field of study for the degree project. Students may apply, in competition, to spend their third year at Wageningen University and Research, potentially earning a double degree.

Graduates work as specialists or advisors at governmental authorities, municipalities, forestry companies or in nature tourism, or continue to a Master's degree.
