Graphic Design and Illustration

The Graphic Design and Illustration program at Belfast Metropolitan College is a two-year non-degree course for students passionate about creativity and visual communication. It's taught in English and combines theoretical knowledge with practical training, preparing students for a successful career in the creative industries.

The curriculum covers graphic design principles, including typography, composition, and color theory, as well as industry-standard design software and visual communication techniques. Students will also gain valuable industry experience through internships or freelance opportunities in the Work Based Learning module.

Graduates can pursue careers as Graphic Designers, Illustrators, Web Designers, or Art Directors, finding employment in design studios, advertising agencies, or as freelancers. They will have transferable skills to adapt to various roles and challenges in the job market.
