Bachelor in Hebammenwissenschaft (B.Sc.), dual

The Bachelorstudiengang Hebammenwissenschaft is a dual programme with a mandatory four-week pre-practicum completed in a clinical setting, and students must secure a practice placement at one of the Hochschule’s verantwortlichen Praxiseinrichtungen (VPE) as a separate step in the application process.

• Teaching is divided into theoretical and practical components, with students spending substantial time in clinical settings.
• Students who have completed at least five semesters of the programme may apply to become a midwife trainee and practise independently under supervision.
• This programme establishes a strong foundation for a midwifery career, and graduates are eligible to apply for a Master’s programme in Midwifery, which can be completed part-time while working.
