Turkish Aeronautical Association University

Bachelor in Industrial Engineering

Ankara, Turkey Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Industrial Engineering studies how to design and improve systems that involve people, materials, equipment, and information, drawing on operations research, statistics, quality management, and production planning. Students take courses in mathematics, probability, and optimization alongside subjects such as supply chain management, ergonomics, and facility layout, learning to analyze processes and propose improvements across manufacturing and service settings. As the program advances, students typically study simulation modeling, quality control methods, and project management, building tools for analyzing complex systems and identifying where efficiency can be improved. Coursework often includes case studies drawn from manufacturing, logistics, and service industries, giving students practice applying quantitative methods to practical operational problems. Laboratory and computer-based exercises introduce students to the software tools commonly used for scheduling, simulation, and data analysis in industrial settings. Many programs include a capstone or final-year project in which students apply the methods learned throughout the program to a real or realistic operational problem, often in cooperation with an industry partner. Graduates of industrial engineering programs work in areas such as manufacturing management, logistics and supply chain, quality assurance, and process improvement, and the degree also provides a foundation for further graduate study in operations research or engineering management. The program is taught in English and takes 4 years to complete, leading to a bachelor's degree from Turkish Aeronautical Association University in Ankara, Turkey.
