Bachelor in Informatics

Tuition costs 2,700 EUR per year.

Informatics is a bachelor's program taught in English at Uniwersytet WSB Merito Gdansk, based in Warszawa, Poland, running over three and a half years with yearly tuition of 2700 EUR. Students build knowledge of compilers and compilation techniques, along with an understanding of programming language syntax and semantics, and gain experience programming at the operating system level. The program also covers distributed programming and cloud processing, and prepares students to develop complex business applications for network environments, with training and certification opportunities in modern programming languages and environments. Admission follows a four-step process: applicants first choose the field of study that suits them, then create a candidate account containing instructions for completing recruitment, after which they have seven days to attach and sign the required documents online. Throughout the process, the Admission Office for Foreigners and English Language Studies staff are available by phone and email to answer questions and guide applicants. Informatics as a discipline covers the theoretical and practical foundations of computing, including how software systems, operating systems, and networks are designed, built, and maintained. Graduates of bachelor's programs in this field typically move into roles such as software developer, systems administrator, network engineer, or database specialist, and the grounding in cloud processing and distributed systems reflects how much modern IT work now depends on infrastructure that spans multiple machines and locations. The blend of technical coursework with a fully online, English-language recruitment process makes this program accessible to international applicants who want to study computing in Poland without needing to be on campus for the admissions stage.
