Master in International relations

International Relations - Global and Regional Perspective is a master's programme at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland, running for four semesters, taught in English, with an annual tuition fee of 8000 PLN. Building on first-degree studies, graduates gain extended, interdisciplinary knowledge of international relations, particularly across the international economic, social, political and legal domains. The programme develops the ability to analyze the attitudes and behaviours of participants in political processes along with their interactions with other parts of social life, and builds knowledge and skills for making independent, in-depth analyses and syntheses of processes occurring in public life. Students study both the theory and practice of international relations, as well as the theory and practice of political and economic decision-making. Graduates gain analytic and methodological skills suited to positions requiring careful, rational and accurate assessment and judgment, along with habits of personal responsibility and initiative. The programme also instills habits of lifelong learning and professional development, preparing graduates to take on research challenges and to continue their education at the third-degree, or doctoral, level. As with comparable programmes, the field draws on political science, economics, law and history, and graduates commonly move into careers in diplomacy, public administration, international organizations, and research, building on prior first-degree training in the discipline.
