The Master's programme in International Relations at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Poland, runs for two years across four semesters, taught in English, with the next intake beginning October 1, 2026, and an application deadline of September 15, 2026. The programme addresses a world its own materials describe as changing quickly and becoming more complex and unpredictable, shaped by events such as the Covid-19 pandemic and Russia's aggression against Ukraine, alongside globalization processes that have made geographical distance less of a barrier to social contact, including through cyberspace. Against this backdrop of growing interdependence between states and societies, where global developments connect directly to local ones, the programme provides students with the knowledge and skills to analyze the changing international environment. Coursework focuses on relations between states, international organizations and non-state actors, as well as the processes taking place within the wider international system. Graduates gain the analytical grounding to explain and interpret geopolitical developments and to work in settings where such understanding is essential, including government, international organizations, research institutions and the private sector. As with international relations study more generally, the field combines political science, economics, law and history, and typically leads graduates toward careers in diplomacy, international organizations, trade and development, journalism, or public administration, or toward continued doctoral study.
