Master in Leadership And Innovation In Practice Module

At University of Plymouth, tuition is 18,200 GBP per year.

Embedded directly within real-world clinical and humanitarian environments, this module serves as a practical crucible for leadership development. Whether you are operating in remote wilderness settings, international aid outposts, or domestic community health partnerships, the programme bridges the gap between high-level theory and the complexities of field-based healthcare.

Students engage with curated reading materials, podcasts, and video content that challenge them to apply innovation frameworks to their immediate work environments. By formalising the reflection process, participants transform their hands-on experiences into tangible professional growth.

Field-Integrated Learning

The module is designed to be undertaken alongside active practice. Past participants have leveraged this flexibility to gain leadership experience in diverse and challenging locations, including:

• Antarctic medical research stations
• Healthcare provision in rural Orkney
• Primary care development in Kenya
• Armed Forces medical deployments
• Refugee support services in the UK
