Level 1 Construction

The Level 1 Construction program is for students who are new to construction. It's a non-degree program that takes a year to complete and is taught in English at Belfast Metropolitan College.

The curriculum covers basic construction skills like health and safety, building methods, and materials. Students learn how to use tools and equipment safely and effectively. They also get to work on small construction projects to practice their skills.

Graduates can work as construction laborers, carpenters, or assistants to skilled tradespeople. They can find jobs in construction companies, renovation firms, or government agencies. Some possible job titles include construction worker, handyman, or builder's laborer.
