Bachelor in Licence - Mathématiques

The tuition fee is 178 EUR per year.

Institut national universitaire Champollion in Albi, France, offers the Licence - Mathématiques, a three-year bachelor's degree in mathematics delivered in French. The programme builds mathematical knowledge and reasoning progressively across three years, covering real analysis, differential calculus, linear algebra, abstract algebra, probability theory, and statistics. Students develop the ability to construct rigorous mathematical proofs, to formulate and solve problems precisely, and to think at levels of abstraction that are fundamental to advanced mathematical work. Alongside pure mathematical training, the programme introduces numerical methods and mathematical modelling, equipping students to apply mathematical reasoning to concrete problems in science, engineering, and economics. Courses in probability and statistics provide tools that are widely applicable in data analysis, finance, and experimental research. Students are also encouraged to develop strong written and oral communication skills for presenting mathematical arguments clearly. The degree provides a solid foundation for master's programmes in mathematics, statistics, data science, actuarial science, or education, and opens career paths in actuarial work, data analysis, financial modelling, research, engineering, and teaching. The programme starts in September and lasts 3 years, with annual tuition of 178 EUR. All teaching is in French.
