Bachelor in Licence - Psychologie

Tuition comes to 178 EUR per year.

Psychology as taught in the Licence - Psychologie at Université Marie et Louis Pasteur in Besançon, France, offers a scientific introduction to human behaviour, mental processes, and the biological, social, and developmental factors that shape them throughout the lifespan. Over three years, students study the major branches of the discipline: cognitive, developmental, social, clinical, and neuropsychology, grounded in a thorough understanding of research methodology and statistical analysis. The degree is taught in French, begins in September, and has a yearly tuition of 178 EUR. Modules typically cover perception, memory, learning, personality, psychopathology, and the social determinants of behaviour, giving students a broad and integrated picture of the field. Laboratory and data-interpretation exercises develop the empirical skills needed for applied or research-oriented careers. In France, graduates who wish to practise clinically as psychologists must complete a five-year university curriculum, meaning the three-year licence is the first required stage rather than a terminal qualification for that path. Beyond clinical settings, graduates work in human resources, education, market research, coaching, and social services where psychological knowledge informs practice. Master's programmes in clinical psychology, organisational psychology, neuropsychology, and research methodology are the most common continuation routes for students who have completed the licence in Besançon or elsewhere in France.
