Capturing the nuance of human emotion for the camera requires a distinct technical and psychological approach, fundamentally different from the demands of the stage. This Master’s programme immerses students in the craft of screen acting, focusing on the precision, subtlety, and authenticity required for high-end film and television performance.

Designed for aspiring professionals and emerging practitioners, the course bridges the gap between traditional acting training and the industry-standard requirements of a film set. You will explore the technical realities of working with cameras, microphones, and lighting, while developing the internal depth necessary to sustain a truthful performance across non-linear filming schedules.

Industry-Focused Pedagogy

• Technical Mastery: Gain extensive experience with diverse camera formats, frame sizes, and the specific energy management required for screen work.
• Professional Simulation: Engage with industry professionals, including directors and casting agents, to understand the realities of the modern screen industry.
• Portfolio Development: Produce a professional-grade showreel, providing you with the tangible assets needed to navigate the competitive landscape of film and television casting.

By blending rigorous practical exercises with critical reflection, the programme ensures that you graduate not just as a performer, but as a film-literate artist capable of collaborating effectively with directors and cinematographers to serve the narrative arc of a film.
