Graduates become registered architects and find roles in design studios, planning authorities, construction firms or academic research. Typical employers are RIBA-registered practices, local councils and interdisciplinary design consultancies, while some continue to doctoral study or teaching.

The programme runs for two years full-time (three years part-time) and starts on 14 September 2026. It incorporates professional-development placements linked to coursework, so every student gains workplace experience. Students learn to generate complex design proposals, evaluate materials and construction techniques, and develop critical research skills in architectural theory. A distinctive feature is the course’s alignment with professional accreditation requirements, providing the knowledge and skills needed for architectural registration.
