Master Informatique — Data & IA

At Institut catholique de Lille, the tuition fee is 250 EUR per year.

Computer science increasingly overlaps with data analysis and artificial intelligence, and the Master Informatique at Institut catholique de Lille, in Lille, France, offers a specialization in Data et IA, or data and artificial intelligence. Students in this discipline typically study programming, database systems, machine learning methods, and the statistical foundations used to build predictive models and analyze large datasets, alongside core computer science topics such as algorithms and software engineering. Coursework generally covers data collection and preprocessing, machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and the practical tools used to deploy data and artificial intelligence systems within organizations, together with discussions of the ethical and technical considerations involved in building automated decision systems. The data and artificial intelligence orientation trains students to work across the full pipeline of extracting insight from data, from gathering and cleaning datasets to building and evaluating predictive models. Because instruction is in French, students need solid academic French to follow programming coursework, statistical theory, and technical documentation used throughout the degree. The program spans two years, with an expected start in September and yearly tuition of 250 EUR, in line with rates at French higher education institutions. Graduates of this kind of specialization typically pursue careers as data scientists, machine learning engineers, data analysts, or artificial intelligence developers within companies across sectors that rely on data-driven decision-making. Others move into research roles or further specialize in specific areas of machine learning or data engineering. The Data et IA track at Institut catholique de Lille positions graduates within one of the fastest-growing areas of computer science, combining technical programming skills with statistical and machine learning expertise.
