Master Informatique — Données, Connaissances et Intelligence

For Master Informatique — Données, Connaissances et Intelligence, tuition costs 250 EUR per year.

Université Paris Cité offers a Master Informatique with a track in Données, Connaissances et Intelligence, or data, knowledge and intelligence, as a two-year master's degree taught in French in Paris, France, starting in September with annual tuition of 250 EUR. This branch of computer science sits at the intersection of database systems, knowledge representation, and artificial intelligence, studying how large volumes of data can be stored, organized, and transformed into structured knowledge that intelligent systems can reason with. Coursework typically covers database design and management, including how to store and query large datasets efficiently, alongside material on knowledge representation, ontologies, and the logical frameworks used to encode structured knowledge for computer systems. Students usually study how artificial intelligence techniques can be applied to reason over this structured knowledge, extract information from unstructured data, or support decision-making based on large and varied data sources. Coursework may also address topics such as information retrieval, semantic web technologies, or the integration of data from multiple sources into a coherent knowledge base. Practical training generally involves working with database systems, building or querying knowledge bases, and implementing algorithms that combine data management with reasoning or inference. Group projects and internships commonly give students experience applying these techniques to real data and knowledge management problems. Graduates of this kind of program typically pursue roles such as database engineer, knowledge engineer, data architect, or artificial intelligence developer, working in sectors that rely on large and complex data infrastructures. Because the program is taught in French, strong French language proficiency is required for coursework and assessment throughout the two years of study in Paris.
