Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Engineering

The MSc in Artificial Intelligence Engineering addresses the scientific theories, algorithms, and methods used to design and develop AI-based systems, as well as the ability to integrate AI into existing real-world systems in areas such as media, industrial processes, and information systems. The curriculum is divided into compulsory and compulsory elective modules across six groups: Algorithm Engineering and Mathematical Modelling; Artificial Intelligence Methods; Artificial Intelligence System Engineering; Artificial Intelligence Applications; Cross-Cutting Concerns covering legal, ethical, social, and economic dimensions; and Research Seminars. Students complete the programme over four semesters with an AI Engineering seminar and the Master's thesis as compulsory elements, and a compulsory beginner German course is integrated for students who cannot provide a prior German language certificate. The programme admits students in both winter and summer semesters. Graduates are equipped for roles in systems development, software engineering, data analysis, and AI-based solution development across sectors including transport, industry, medicine, and finance, as well as doctoral study.
