Master in MSc in Artificial Intelligence

The MSc in Artificial Intelligence at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) is a three-semester English-taught, research-oriented programme starting in the summer semester. It is designed to develop a systematic understanding of artificial intelligence, with a focus on machine learning and the mathematical foundations underlying AI methods. The first semester covers key mathematical and methodological concepts in AI along with a Scientific Seminar module that prepares students for subsequent research work. The second semester moves into specific AI applications such as robotics, natural language processing, and computer vision, and addresses ethical and legal aspects. Students also complete credited practical team projects in the second semester. Elective modules in the first and third semesters allow specialisation in particular areas of interest. The programme concludes with an independently conducted master's thesis in the third semester. The programme is offered at THWS in Würzburg, Germany.
