Lodz University of Technology's International Faculty of Engineering, in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, offers a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, taught in English over two years in Łódź, Poland, with annual tuition of 16000 PLN. The programme covers mechanics, strength of materials, engineering materials, automation and robotics, together with practical and theoretical preparation for the design and operation of mechanical equipment. Students study the basics of machine construction, software applications used in engineering, advanced manufacturing technologies, and the basics of entrepreneurship and management, alongside selected topics in information technology, economics, regulation, and environmental matters. Core subjects include Dynamics and Drives of Machines, Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer, Applied Materials Sciences, Fatigue of Gears and Shafts, a Research Project, Rapid Prototyping and Modern Manufacturing, an Advanced Mechanical Project, and an Industrial Placement. Graduates are prepared to work in the construction offices of enterprises, particularly within the aviation, machine, automotive, household appliance, and machine tools industries. They also find employment in industry and other facilities that operate and service mechanical systems, machines, and equipment. The skills developed during the programme additionally allow graduates to set up their own manufacturing or service companies, reflecting the versatility of the education, which combines engineering knowledge with computer science, organization and management, and foreign languages. Łódź, a major city in central Poland, hosts Lodz University of Technology, whose International Faculty of Engineering is structured specifically to serve students pursuing engineering education in English.
