The three-semester Master in Mechanical Engineering at Ulm University of Applied Sciences (THU) builds on the tradition of the Ulm School of Design (HfG), combining technical and aesthetic aspects of modern product development. Students with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or a related field learn to tackle complex technical systems, and develop innovative solutions for modern industry. The programme pays particular attention to industrial design engineering, combining functionality and aesthetics in the creation of both consumer and capital goods. A holistic approach is taken, integrating engineering, industrial design engineering, and management skills, in two specialisations: Design & Development or General Mechanical Engineering.
