About Master in Mechanical Engineering: Sustainable Energy Systems and Circular Process Engineering (MSc)

This specialisation addresses the engineering challenges at the heart of the energy transition: designing future energy systems built on sustainability and steering industry away from fossil-based production toward a CO2-neutral circular economy. Students engage with the technical and systemic dimensions of both goals, understanding how the shift to renewable energy and the restructuring of industrial processes are closely intertwined. The programme runs over 3 semesters and is open to intake in both the winter and summer semesters. Applicants for the winter semester submit between early June and 15 July; those targeting the summer semester apply between early December and 15 January. The programme is offered by Ruhr-Universität Bochum in Bochum, Germany.
