Bachelor in Mechatronics Engineering

Mechatronics Engineering combines mechanical engineering, electronics, control systems, and computer science to design machines and systems that sense, process information, and act on their environment. Students study mechanics, electrical circuits, microcontrollers, robotics, automation, sensors and actuators, and programming, learning to integrate these disciplines to build devices ranging from industrial robots to automated production lines and smart consumer products. Laboratory and project work typically has students assembling and programming physical systems, testing control algorithms, and troubleshooting the interaction between hardware and software components. Because modern manufacturing and product design increasingly depend on automation, mechatronics graduates are sought by companies producing machinery, automotive systems, consumer electronics, and industrial equipment, and they commonly work as design engineers, automation engineers, robotics engineers, or maintenance and systems engineers. The field also supports further study in robotics, control engineering, or specialized areas of mechanical and electrical engineering. This bachelor's program runs for 4 years and is taught in English at Istanbul Commerce University in İstanbul, Turkey.
