Master in Medicine

Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce offers its School of Medicine in English as a six-year (twelve-semester) program, with yearly tuition of 12000 EUR, open to high school and secondary school graduates who are both Polish citizens and foreign nationals. The program is adapted to EU standards and includes more than 5700 hours of education spanning general medicine, pre-clinical and clinical courses. Graduates receive the MD degree and a medical diploma that the university states is recognized in the European Union, the USA, Canada and most other countries. The program follows requirements that are obligatory for Polish medical higher education institutions and is designed to meet EU standards, with the number of semesters and total ECTS points complying with the relevant Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education dated May 9, 2012 (Journal of Laws of 2012, Pos. 631), forming the framework for the program's intended learning outcomes. Students choose nine optional courses divided into two groups: basic science and pre-clinical electives, selected between the third and ninth semester, and clinical science electives, selected between the sixth and ninth semester. Across the twelve semesters, the curriculum covers pre-clinical subjects including anatomy, biochemistry, biophysics, physiology with cytophysiology, histology with embryology, and basics of cell biology, microbiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and toxicology, alongside clinical subjects such as internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, psychiatry, family medicine, and emergency medicine.
