The MEng programme spans four years. The first two years provide a solid foundation in core mechanical engineering principles such as dynamics, materials and thermodynamics. In the third and fourth years you concentrate on acoustical engineering, selecting specialist modules that address vibration analysis, architectural acoustics and electro-acoustics. Modules such as Advanced Vibration, Architectural and Building Acoustics, Electroacoustics, Fundamentals of Acoustics, Musical Instrument Acoustics, Noise Control Engineering and Numerical Methods for Acoustics deepen your expertise and prepare you for industry or research roles.
