You will spend time in material testing labs, design studios and computer-based modelling workshops, analysing how different materials behave under load, temperature and environmental conditions. Typical weeks combine practical experiments on composites, surface coatings and tribology with project work that links material selection to real-world engineering problems.

The programme is split into three stages. The first two years provide a solid foundation in core mechanical engineering subjects such as mechanics of solids, heat transfer and manufacturing processes.
