Master in Module Details

At De Montfort University, the tuition fee is 17,900 GBP per year.

Embedded directly within the digital forensics incident response lifecycle, this programme moves beyond theoretical study to place students at the heart of critical investigation. By bridging the gap between traditional crime scene evidence collection and complex enterprise-level network analysis, the course ensures graduates are equipped to handle the evolving nature of digital devices and the legal frameworks governing them.

Applied Investigative Frameworks

The curriculum is structured to mirror professional practice, requiring students to master both the technical rigour of forensic tools and the soft skills—such as clear communication with non-technical stakeholders and collaborative problem-solving—essential for modern cybersecurity professionals. Whether operating within a network-focused enterprise environment or managing forensic evidence in a laboratory setting, learners gain hands-on experience in the entire investigative pipeline.

A significant portion of the degree is dedicated to a self-managed PGT project, allowing students to tailor their research or development work to their specific career goals. Options range from building innovative software or hardware systems to executing empirical research projects or producing high-level consultancy reports, providing a robust portfolio for future employers.
