Each week you attend lectures, join practical laboratory sessions, and collaborate on group projects that develop data analysis and experimental design skills across biology and chemistry.

A core element is the 20-credit module “The Responsible Scientist” in Semester 1, where you explore ethical research practices and develop laboratory skills through real-world case studies. The curriculum also integrates specialised pathways such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedical Sciences, offering modules like Metabolism, Cell Biology and Physiology, and Fundamentals of Neuroscience. In Semester 2 you complete the “The Science Communicator” module and two entrepreneurship units – “Learning Entrepreneurial Skills” and “Entrepreneurial Start-Up” – each worth 20 credits, giving you business insight alongside scientific training.
