The Breuer Marcel Doctoral School focuses its architecture PhD on heritage protection and energy design. Led by full professor Bálint Bachmann, the programme follows Bologna-system standards and is open to architects holding an MSc or MA, including degrees in architecture-related fields.

The doctorate runs for eight semesters. Applicants submit a Master's diploma and full transcript of records, with authorised English translations required for documents in other languages; during assessment, the Admissions Committee reviews the candidate's prior university studies. Tuition is USD 4,200 per semester, with a USD 150 application fee.
