Students can conduct experiments using the department’s NMR spectroscopy, mass-spectrometry and chromatography facilities, allowing them to generate high-quality data for their thesis. The research environment covers a wide range of chemistry specialisms, including organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, materials, environmental and polymer chemistry, giving scope to tailor the project to personal interests and industry relevance.
