Fizik

This program covers the fundamental laws governing matter, energy, and their interactions, spanning classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and modern physics topics. Students build a strong mathematical foundation alongside physics coursework, learning to model physical systems, solve complex problems, and interpret experimental data. Laboratory work forms a central part of the curriculum, giving students hands-on experience with measurement techniques, instrumentation, and experimental design, reinforcing theoretical concepts through direct observation and analysis. As students progress, they typically encounter more specialized topics such as solid-state physics, optics, or particle physics, depending on the program's structure and available coursework. The analytical and quantitative skills developed through the program extend well beyond physics itself, giving graduates a strong foundation for technical and research-oriented careers. Graduates pursue roles in research institutions, engineering-adjacent industries, data analysis, and technology sectors, or continue into graduate study in physics or related quantitative fields. This bachelor program runs for 4 years and is taught in English at Middle East Technical University, a state institution located in Ankara, Turkey, providing rigorous preparation for further study or technical careers.
