The BA (Hons) Interior Design at Plymouth engages with this fundamental inquiry by challenging students to navigate the intersection of architectural structure, material culture, and spatial psychology. This programme is designed for aspiring designers who possess a keen eye for detail and a desire to shape the environments in which we live, work, and socialise.

Portfolio-Driven Admissions

The course distinguishes itself through a highly collaborative admissions process that prioritises creative potential over static credentials. Applicants are invited to engage in a portfolio review process that serves as a bridge between their current practice and future academic development. Exceptional portfolios may trigger an unconditional offer, allowing students to transition into their university career with the confidence that their creative vision has been recognised.

The curriculum emphasises the development of a professional design identity, encouraging students to document their creative journey—from initial sketches and conceptual development to executed outcomes. By submitting work via the digital portal, candidates receive constructive feedback that sharpens their creative voice before they even step onto campus.
