Aspiring educators who are driven to inspire the leaders, innovators, and creators of tomorrow will find a supportive and rigorous environment at London Met. This suite of postgraduate teacher training programmes is specifically designed for those who wish to make a tangible impact within London's vibrant and diverse urban classrooms. By bridging the gap between theoretical pedagogy and hands-on experience, you will develop the specialized skills needed to navigate the unique challenges of modern city schools.

Dual-Qualification Excellence

Every trainee completes the programme with two critical pillars of professional development:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status): This practical certification is earned through extensive, hands-on school placements, ensuring you possess the core classroom management and instructional skills required to teach immediately upon graduation.
• PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education): Integrated with your practical training, this master's-level qualification challenges you to become a critically aware, reflective practitioner. You will learn to evaluate and implement evidence-based approaches to teaching, ensuring your methods are both effective and adaptable to the diverse needs of your students.

The university actively encourages applications from Black and minority ethnic communities to ensure the teaching workforce better reflects the rich diversity of the London population, making this an ideal path for those committed to inclusive and representative education.
