Pre-Sessional Maths

The Pre-Sessional Maths course at Bedford College is a 2-year non-degree program for students who need to achieve their Level 2 in Maths to enroll in Level 3 or Higher Skills courses. It offers a focused environment to enhance mathematical skills essential for further education and career advancement.

The curriculum covers numbers, shapes and space, handling data, and measurement. Students engage in 4 hours of tuition each day from Monday to Friday and take an exam to assess their understanding and progress towards a nationally recognized Functional Skills qualification.

Graduates can pursue further education in fields that require strong mathematical skills and work as Data Analysts, Financial Assistants, or Operations Coordinators. The skills gained are transferable across many industries, making this course a valuable stepping stone for students aiming to enhance their career prospects.
