Teaching and Learning

The mandatory 30-credit Certificate in Teaching and Learning module introduces micro-teaching, lesson planning, digital education tools and reflective practice, giving participants hands-on experience in designing and delivering lessons. Throughout the three-year part-time blended programme, additional electives such as Education for Sustainability, Technology Enhanced Learning and Digital Teaching and Learning deepen understanding of sustainable pedagogy, digital pedagogies and emerging AI technologies, while the Recognition of Prior Learning assessment develops expertise in policy and mentorship.

Graduates learn to assume teaching and learning roles within higher education, contribute to curriculum development, support student engagement and apply research-informed approaches to assessment and digital learning environments. The qualification also provides a foundation for further study or professional registration in education.
