Delivered under the title Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering by the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering, the programme is taught entirely in English and aims to give students a fundamental understanding of electronics, telecommunications, and ICT, with particular attention to the current state and development trends in these fields. The greatest emphasis is placed on training in the analysis and design of analog and digital electronic systems, microprocessor technology including software, optoelectronics, and the technology and construction of electronic equipment, as well as the implementation of modern telecommunications and ICT networks. Students also learn to find, select, and verify information from various sources, including electronic sources. Core subjects include electrical circuits, programming and data structures, signals and systems, semiconductor devices, wireless communication, digital systems, electronic circuits, and signal processing. As part of the curriculum, students complete at least one semester abroad, referred to as the Mobility Semester, in the sixth semester. The programme also aims to familiarize students with the specifics of engineering work, including preparation for group work such as team projects. Telecommunications engineering as a field covers the design and operation of systems that transmit information, spanning wireless networks, signal processing, and electronic hardware. Graduates commonly work as telecommunications engineers, electronics designers, network engineers, or in research and development roles within the ICT and electronics industries, applying the knowledge and skills gained during the programme directly in current engineering job markets.
