The Global Business Program, known as GBP, is a four-year bachelor's degree at Hosei University in Tokyo, Japan, taught in English with admission each September. Hosei University was founded in 1880 and is one of Japan's historic universities, now organized into 15 undergraduate faculties and 38 departments, alongside 15 graduate schools and 2 professional graduate schools, all accredited by the Japanese government. Since 2014, Hosei has held Top Global University Project status, a government program funding 37 universities selected from about 800 across Japan, and financial support is available to enrolled students. A global business curriculum at the undergraduate level generally covers management, marketing, finance, international trade, and cross-cultural business communication, often combined with case studies of companies operating across borders. Students in a program of this kind build foundational business skills alongside coursework focused specifically on operating in international markets, preparing them to work in or alongside multinational organizations. Over four years, coursework typically progresses from introductory business and economics courses to more specialized international business electives.
