The three- or four-semester Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Wirtschaftsinformatik at FH Dortmund focuses on the design, development, and utilization of information systems from a business perspective. This degree emphasizes the application of scientific knowledge to make informed decisions, even with incomplete information, and integrates societal, scientific, and ethical considerations. The programme is structured around core modules, such as Wirtschaftsinformatik, Informatik, and Betriebliches Management, and offers specializations in IT-Beschaffung und -Controlling, Informationsmanagement and Business Intelligence, and SCM Anwendungen. Students can choose between a three-semester and a four-semester programme; the latter includes a Masterprojekt and Masterthesis, which can be completed in collaboration with companies, both domestically and internationally, with the support of the faculty.
