Bachelor in Architecture

At Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Malaquais - PSL, tuition comes to 178 EUR per year.

The Architecture programme at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Malaquais - PSL in Paris, France, leads to the State Diploma in Architecture at first-cycle level over 3 years of studio-based professional education. Students work on architectural design projects of increasing scale and complexity across all years of the programme, developing spatial thinking, compositional judgment, and technical resolution through successive studio exercises. These projects are supported by lecture and seminar courses in structural principles, construction technology, materials science, building environmental performance, architectural history from antiquity to the present, design theory, and urban context analysis. The integration of design studio practice with technical knowledge and cultural understanding is central to the pedagogical approach. Teaching is in French and the academic year begins each September, with annual tuition of 178 EUR. The first-cycle diploma is the foundation for the second-cycle programme leading to the professional State Diploma required for independent practice as an architect in France, which most graduates pursue directly. Career paths after full professional qualification include architectural design offices, urban planning agencies, interior architecture, heritage conservation, real estate development, construction project management, and architectural teaching. Paris-Malaquais's affiliation with the PSL research university network places students in contact with researchers across arts, science, and humanities disciplines. Its central Paris location gives students direct and daily exposure to one of the world's most architecturally significant and historically layered urban environments.
