Bachelor in Architecture

Tuition fees are 178 EUR per year.

The Architecture program at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Normandie in Darnétal, France, leads to a bachelor-level degree over three years. Taught in French and starting in September, the program covers the fundamental disciplines of architectural education: design studio practice, structural systems, building materials, environmental performance, history and theory of architecture, and urban planning principles. Students develop skills in technical drawing, digital modeling, and the critical analysis of built environments across different historical periods and cultural contexts. Studio work forms the core of the curriculum, where students apply theoretical knowledge to real design problems at various scales, from residential interiors to urban interventions. Projects typically grow in ambition and complexity as students progress through the three years. The program also introduces students to professional practice, construction law, site coordination, and the social dimensions of space-making. Site visits, workshop sessions, and collaborative projects complement studio and lecture-based learning. Yearly tuition is 178 EUR. Graduates are eligible to continue their studies at master level, which is required before practicing independently as an architect in France. Career directions include working in architecture firms, public planning agencies, heritage bodies, urban design consultancies, and construction project management. Admission to the program involves a selection process.
