Bachelor in Architecture

For Bachelor in Architecture, tuition fees are 178 EUR per year.

Architecture at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Nancy in Nancy, France, is a three-year bachelor-level programme taught in French, starting in September, with annual tuition of 178 EUR. Architecture as an academic and professional discipline addresses the conception, representation, and realisation of built spaces, combining artistic and aesthetic sensibility with technical knowledge and awareness of social, cultural, and environmental contexts. Students develop skills across a broad set of areas: design studio practice, where spatial ideas are developed and critically reviewed; architectural history and theory, which situates contemporary practice within its intellectual genealogy; structural and construction technology; building physics and environmental performance; urban studies and landscape; and digital representation methods including drawing, model-making, and computer-aided design. Students also engage with the social dimensions of space — how buildings and cities shape and are shaped by the communities that inhabit them. Design studio work, in which students develop original proposals and subject them to rigorous critique, is the pedagogical heart of the programme. In France, the three-year licence in architecture constitutes the first cycle of a regulated professional education path. It is normally followed by a two-year master's programme leading to the diplôme d'État d'architecte before a graduate can practise independently. Admission to this programme requires passing selection tests. Teaching is entirely in French.
