The BA (Hons) Acting: Classical and Contemporary is a three-year, full-time undergraduate actor-training programme at Central, a constituent school of the University of London. It provides a grounding in the fundamental skills required for professional acting across stage, screen and other media, drawing on both classical and contemporary playwrights and practitioners.

Central requires all applicants for whom English is not their first language to prove English language proficiency at CEFR level C1 (equivalent to an overall IELTS Academic score of 7.0, with no component below 6.5) via an approved Secure English Language Test (SELT): IELTS Academic, LanguageCert Academic SELT (minimum 75, no component below 70), Trinity ISE III, Pearson PTE Academic UKVI (minimum 76 per skill), or PSI Skills for English UKVI C1. Applicants are exempt if they hold an English GCSE, A level, or Scottish equivalent gained through UK study begun before age 18. Evidence must be submitted to the Admissions Office by 1 August of the year of enrolment.
