About Bachelor in BA (Hons) Production & Technical Arts: Stage & Screen

The application deadline is 2027-07-01, while tuition is 26,631 GBP per year.

BA (Hons) Production & Technical Arts: Stage & Screen is a three-year practical, vocational course training students for production and technical careers in theatre, film, television and live events. Students work on live LAMDA productions from their first term, gaining experience across stage management, scenic construction, lighting and sound, with an option to work with the Screen & Digital Production team in years two and three.

Year one introduces the four core disciplines (stage management, scenic construction, lighting, sound) plus prop making, health and safety, and design software (AutoCAD, Vector Works). Year two adds four senior production roles, a choice of specialist modules (including Production Management, LX Design, Sound Design and Screen & Digital Production), and a six-week industry placement. Year three involves three further senior production roles — including at least one Head of Department role — a second work placement, an Independent Project, and a Professional Portfolio.

Teaching takes place at LAMDA's Barons Court campus and its Bermondsey scenic workshops. The course is awarded by LAMDA, which has held degree-awarding powers since August 2021.
